Grower’s Note

One of Chester Skotak’s first variegated mini hybrids, ‘Moondust’ remains a collector favorite for its crisp pattern and compact size. It matures to approximately 7 inches across with light green leaves, a wide white central stripe, and fine red punctate banding that becomes more pronounced as the plant develops.

Its clean variegation and classic Skotak lineage make it a timeless addition to any miniature bromeliad collection.

Care Instructions

Light: Bright, indirect light (tolerates some morning/afternoon sun)
Water: Keep fresh water in the central cup of the bromeliad
Medium: Use a fast-draining substrate. We recommend coconut chips, especially for South Florida. Adjust for your climate, but never let the mix stay soggy.
Climate: Warm, humid, frost-free tropical or subtropical climates with bright filtered light and good airflow.
