The broad, arching, black-spined leaves carry a central cream to hot pink/scarlet stripe in strong light, with dark red punctation and cross-banding layered through the foliage. The color can become intense as the plant matures, giving this hybrid a bold, high-energy look that fits the name perfectly.

A large Skotak hybrid with serious collector appeal, ‘Eye Candy’ matures to approximately 27.5 inches across in an open rosette. The broad, arching leaves can reach around 3 inches wide, with white margins and heavy blood-red cross-banding that shows on both the top and underside of the foliage.
This hybrid came from a unique, imperfectly variegated plant in a 2009 Skotak grex that later produced/sported two standout cultivars: Neo. ‘Eye Candy’ and Neo. ‘Freak Out’. ‘Eye Candy’ carries the bold edged look, while ‘Freak Out’ is known for its median striping. At maturity, this hybrid forms an open rosette to approximately 20 inches across. The mid-green leaves are centrally striped creamy white, with punctated and broken red to purple cross-banding scattered across the foliage.
