Grower’s Note

A very rare and exceptional Otto hybrid with bold, high-contrast markings and serious collector presence. ‘Black Cat’ shows a striking mix of bright green, creamy variegation, deep maroon-black banding, and dark smoky tips that give the plant a dramatic, almost painted look. The patterning is intense from the center outward — heavy spotting, strong bars, and that wild Otto-style contrast that makes each leaf feel completely unique.

A medium grower, reaching about **20" across at maturity**. Best grown in bright, filtered light to bring out stronger banding, darker tips, and richer overall color while keeping the variegation clean and vibrant.
Roots may have been trimmed for shipping.
