Grower’s Note

A large Skotak hybrid named for its foliage markings. ‘Highlander’ matures to approximately 24 inches across, forming a strong rosette with rich pink-red tones, darker banding, and random cream striated variegation running through the leaves.

The patterning gives this hybrid a very distinct woven look — colorful, irregular, and unmistakably collector-grade. Grex siblings include Neo. ‘Optimus Prime’ and Neo. ‘Angry Bird’. We also grow Neo. ‘Optimus Prime’, so check our website for that one when available.

Care Instructions

Light: Bright, indirect light (tolerates some morning/afternoon sun)
Water: Keep fresh water in the central cup of the bromeliad
Medium: Use a fast-draining substrate. We recommend coconut chips, especially for South Florida. Adjust for your climate, but never let the mix stay soggy.
