Grower’s Note

A must-have Skotak hybrid and a staple for any serious Neoregelia collector. ‘Lucifer’ matures to approximately 20 inches across, forming an open rosette with green leaves, blood-red margins, and heavy sepia-red cross-banding and marbling through the foliage.

The narrow, heavily patterned leaves give this hybrid a dark, dramatic look with excellent contrast as it matures.

Care Instructions

Light: Bright, indirect light (tolerates some morning/afternoon sun)
Water: Keep fresh water in the central cup of the bromeliad
Medium: Use a fast-draining substrate. We recommend coconut chips, especially for South Florida. Adjust for your climate, but never let the mix stay soggy.
Climate: Warm, humid, frost-free tropical or subtropical climates with bright filtered light and good airflow.
