Grower’s Note

A dramatic Skotak hybrid released in 2020. It reaches approximately 20 inches across at maturity. In strong light, this plant develops bronze-green leaves with black spines, and dense bright pink to red cross-banding.

The first photo shows our plant grown very compact without fertilizer. You are purchasing the pup shown in the other photos.

Care Instructions

Light: Bright, indirect light (tolerates some morning/afternoon sun)
Water: Keep fresh water in the central cup of the bromeliad
Medium: Use a fast-draining substrate. We recommend coconut chips, especially for South Florida. Adjust for your climate, but never let the mix stay soggy.
Climate: Warm, humid, frost-free tropical or subtropical climates with bright filtered light and good airflow.
