Bright, warm, and beautifully banded, Solar Bands is a 2026 Skotak hybrid with a glowing, sun-kissed look. This medium-growing hybrid with darker cross-banding that gives the plant its bold striped character.

As it matures, the color becomes even richer and more dimensional, especially with good light. It has a clean, open form — vibrant, unusual, and full of personality without becoming overly large.

A gorgeous choice for collectors looking for a newer Skotak release with color, strong banding, and excellent display appeal.

Care Instructions

Light: Bright, indirect light (tolerates some morning/afternoon sun)
Water: Keep fresh water in the central cup of the bromeliad
Medium: Use a fast-draining substrate. We recommend coconut chips, especially for South Florida. Adjust for your climate, but never let the mix stay soggy.
Climate: Warm, humid, frost-free tropical or subtropical climates with bright filtered light and good airflow.
